Outside Temp Sensor Location ?
Noticed my external temperature gauge reading 38C today , and although it's been warm, it's not been that warm !!
Anyone point me in the direction of where I might find the sensor ? Many thanks

Thanks for the responses, I'll try and have a look over the weekend to see if it's come loose (maybe resting against the radiator ??)

Yep same place for the V8, if you have disconnected the battery the sensor will show silly reading for a time.

Thanks Tim. I did have the battery disconnected a few weeks ago (maybe a month even ?), is that the sort of period you mean or just a few days ?

Anything longer than 30mins. If you have been out for a good run and its not corrected itself then may be something else. But I'd still disconnect wait then reconnect to see if it clears. Easy first that's my motto.

It normally goes on a little metal lug on the inside of the bumper but where the intercooler for the supercharger is,is right behind this lug so in the event of an impact it might puncture the intercooler so I think the lug has been removed and the temperature sensor is near the intercooler so it does show some very high readings.
It does get very hot under the bonnet in slow moving traffic. I had a min/max thermometer under the bonnet for a while and it would often go above 70C |

Thanks Steve, events got the better of me at the weekend, but will get to it in due course. Might reposition it if necessary :-)
