Default Service Reset

Anyone know if this will work on a V8?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-75-O...item231fa2f029

Have just had a service from the garage which is my old favourite garage but an Audi VW specialist.

They have stamped the book and everything but cant reset the service light - will this work?

Cheers in advance!

Should do Richard, I've used a similar one on both a KV6 and a V8

Default Service indicator

Been thinking about the same problem myself. As the 'A' service on a V8 is very straightforward and ias due this year this must be the way to go for me.

I assume the 16 pin plug is correct for the V8 and can anyone tell me exactly where the plugin point is on these cars?

Many thanks

Well it was on the one I owned - it's located on the edge of drivers side underdash, in line with where your right leg is.

You can reset it with a piece of wire

You need a V8 paperclip

It works on mine with the wire method, just a bit fiddly
