Correct Wiring harness
There really needs to be a sticky on the forum with what steering wheel control lead is for what Zt.
I have the standard ISO and an additional iso with green yellow and blue terminals which i think is for the CD changer in the boot. I have no idea what head unit actually came with the car originally, it had an Alpine unit but the steering wheel controls never worked with it so i assume its not the head unit that came with the car. I have had a good look and can not see ANY IR for the kenwood units that are fitted in some ZTs. I purchased a - http://productfinder.autoleads.co.uk...1189&pID=17812 When connected the only time i would get any thing is unplugging the power lead from the resistor module which turned the volume down one notch. According to Autoleads website, this is the other suitable lead http://productfinder.autoleads.co.uk...1189&pID=17827 but i really don't want to waste 30 quid or so if its not going to work. I have a 2002 190+. It has a 6 disc changer in the boot which i believe is not branded as there is nothing on the front of the changer housing or on the casette. Can anyone shed any light for me? I have now fitted a pioneer head unit 2013 model Cheers! Chris |

Don't know if this will help you but I have just installed a Pioneer 2013 double din and used an Autoleads PC99-X39 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3708478810...84.m1439.l2649 and requested the pioneer patch lead to go with it. All the steering wheel controls work perfectly.

For cars that originally had the Symphony unit, with the Blue/Purple and Blue/Orange cables in pins 2 & 3 of the grey ISO connector, you need PC99-X04
If it was originally a Harmony unit with the Blue/Purple and Blue/Orange cables in a 17 pin BMW connector, you need PC99-X32 If it was one of the later single DIN units with the Blue/Purple and Blue/Orange cables on their own in a green mini ISO connector, you need PC99-X39. (The PC99-X30 appears to be for 1999-2001 Land Rover Discovery with the Alpine system) Last edited by raykay; 10th October 2013 at 20:49.. |

They are the connectors that were originally for the Symphony unit, the PC99X-04 is the correct adapter lead with a PC99-PIO patch lead, so if that lead and patch lead are OK, the problem is either in the stereo or the car wiring.
