Default Cleaning speaker grille covers - method?

I seem to remember a post about someone having cleaned the fabric covers over their front door speakers. But I can't seem to find the post.

I noticed the familiar dark circle over the speakers at the weekend, but I'm unsure as to what would be an effective method of cleaning them without getting anything untoward dripping on to the speakers.

Any ideas?

Can't locate at the moment, but I'm sure it used 1001 Carpet Cleaner spray to clean material.

Phil,

The person who wrote the how to did

It's important not to put too much 1001 on, and to use a brand new clean cloth. Worth a second go?

Certainly is Mike. I will use less solution and give it another go at the weekend. Thanks.
