Default O Rings

I have a 55 plate CDTI should i change the O rings there doesn't seem to be any leaks. EGR PCV has been done, need to do inline thermostat.

Yea, do it. They'll be in a worse state than you expect. And it will make you feel better.

Is there a guide for replacing these without removing the bumper ?

All the one's we've seen where the o rings have been replaced from the top have not need seated properly and sooner or later leak again

Newbies do now!!
1. Plenum drains..all 3 or 4 year dependent
2. Cooling fan..All speeds functioning
3. Bonnet cable divider block

They certainly need to be pushed fully home and a little lubricant will help that, make sure the top lip is flush the top of the inlet on the intercooler as here below, and it should be ok in my opinion, I have yet to see any move that have been fully pushed home Arctic

Agree with that Steve.

If folk really have to do the job without removing bumper, I suggest they use the middle groove mod as per your pictures to move the bottom seal upwards.

At least then it can't fall off while inserting the elbow.

I am with Jules on this one

The easiest, and by far the most reliable method it to remove both the bumper, and the nearside headlight.

Once the elbow is reinstalled with the new O rings, a self tapping screw with silicone sealant applied through the outer sheath of the intercooler housing between the O rings, should ensure a fit and forget solution
