gas and electric costs please
Strange request i know but here goes. I live in a draughty old listed house so my costs are just stupidly abnormal.
Can anyone give me roughly what they psy in gas and electric combined for a 3 bed semi of 'regular construction' Im sure lecie will be similar to mine but the gas now i have no idea. I know all are different but itll give me a clue. Ta

In our last house which was a 3 bed semi we payed between £60-£70 a month with british gas. It was a tariff were we had to email our meter readings every month and we got an upto date bill, none of this estimated bill business. That was for both gas and electric.

Trust me m8ee our heating doesnt go on until the windows ice over. Hesting a listed timber framed cottage is no joke!. Mind you itsall what youre used to. Im sitting in my 79 year old dads house in london roasting like a hog as i type its horrible.
Somewhere well below his house temp would suit me.

house built in the 1920, has double glazing and cavity wall insulation (though doubt that is done correctly)
and we have led bulbs and energy saving bulbs all over the house Pay £75 per month Electric and £110 Gas ....BUT that is because we had been in credit by quite a large amount, and rather than just leave it they repaid that amount ...right before the winter set in So once the gas heating was on the credit would have covered the higher use, and would have balanced out in the summer months ...never even informed us they had did it. SO we ended up owing them money after the winter ..hence price rise (was £55 and £75 we are again in credit (by £500 for and £200 for electric, and I am watching the accounts on line to see if they do the same again what did help as well was a brand new boiler got fitted about this time last year |
