Other British made car gone .

There's going to be quite a few people annoyed about this, including farmers as its a very popular choice for puling and as a work horse.

It's a sad day for a British Icon to bite the dust that's for sure.

A shame. Still a successful company though, they're making what customers want; moving with the times!

That's true you got to move forward, but still they could upgrade the car and give it a body styling like the defender.

We know and love.

Its been a great all rounder.
and will be missed.

It's a shame, the Defender is an icon.
I went on the Defender Celebration tour a couple of months back, it was very informative.

Some places may still be available using the link below

The Defender name will carry on in the form of the Defender 2...........original!
There's a lot of artists impressions of what it will look like, think these are the latest. I quite like it

Beginning to wish I'd kept ours now

I have to admit kinda like that, future look of the defender, to be honest it doesn't look like its changed much, apart from the front bumper area.

panels look more flush with the rest of the car.

I still do like the old defender, but model I do like it.

Default End of Landrover Defender

Another victory for European Regulations.....

Main reason for end was the difficulty in making new safety regualtions without a total rebuild.

Brilliant vehicle as is. Just ask farmers and the like. My friend who has always had one is...well....not very amused. He is in fortunate position that he has recently bought one and has also bought one to put away for when his new one needs replacing....

Apparantly after that he will not need one as he will be retired....

Haven't broken the news to him that he ain't getting his state pension until he is 89.... Well probably will be by time he gets to 68!
