Default Powerfold Bullet mirror case worn

Good afternoon all.

I am having a little issue with one of my bullet power folds. It seems like the outer case is worn so the gears jump about and do not engage.

I’ve seen these rebuild kits online with new cases.

Has anyone had any experience of these?

Hi Josh - hopefully you'll be able to get a decent set together from yours and the pair you just bought from me. I spent a long time swapping all different bits about, with varying degrees of success, and eventually found a guy on eBay selling a few new/old stock complete powerfolds, so I bought one (driver's side I think).

There's not much too them apart from the actual motor assembly, so now you'll have at least one without any wear at all...

If you ever find yourself having to try one of those ones in the eBay listing you mention, (a) you will need to buy the entire kit shown there (the zinc casing and lid are the bits that give trouble); (b) even with a complete kit from the same manufacturer you may find that a little filing is needed here and there to get them to work properly. They're not fantastic quality - but then, neither are the originals

I haven't got a Rover any more, but still look in from time to time, so if I can help, let me know
