I am learning a lot about the eu type approval numbers.
All 75s start e11*98/14*011 then it is followed by a 2 didgit number.

A 2001 car has 03 whilst my 2002 touer has 06 and i see a 2004 is 12 (MK2)
This seems to be age related, as I have found one german web site which lists the final eu type approval numbers given to rover cars, which are 13 plus.

with this in mind does anyone have a 2000 registered car which has the full number ofn the V5 or has the original certificate on comformity which has issued with the car.
I suspect that 2000 cars will be 03 or 02.
This information will help me register the car in France

many thanks

You may be interested to know that i took the 75 cdt year 2000 for its french CT. They allowed the CT to take place with the eu type number i had researched.
I used the number as shown above with the ending *01
One the the testers has a 75, and he got his french reg documnet out, and his CDT first reg in 2001 is a *01 car.
It therefore seems correct that the last two numbers of the type approval number are age related.
With CT now done, we will be off to the prefecture to see if I can get the carte Gris ( reg document) with my home made Cert of Conformity. Wish me luck.

The same number on the French carte gris.

They also have---(D2.1) Code national d'identification du type.
MRV5402JG749.

Funnily enough they don't put the engine number on.

Colvert. PS. Let me know if you've read this post.

My 2003 type approval number ends in 10 ( TEN )

My last 6 digits are 0111-10.

You seem to have missed out the third No 1 in your other post.

Yesterday finally managed to get the car registered in France. It took a couple of visits to the prefecture, but they finally did accept my paperwork showing the eu type number which is researched on the internet, without having to buy a COC not easy as the V5 didn't have it on.
Now waiting for the certificate to arrive in the post.

the number I used was the full number ending *01.
as far as i can tell the last two numbers are age related, the newer the car the higher the number.
The Ct inspector has a 2001 car with a number ending *01
his is a club cdt left hand drive.
It would be interesting to have a list of eu type numbers so that other memebers trying to export car within europe know what to quote.
Thanks for your help.
Dave
