Default Jacking Pads

Just noticed I have a jacking pad missing.

I have access to a breaker that still has some fitted, my questions are .....

1) is their a recommended method to remove them

2) Are their any special instructions to fit them, maybe so they don't fall off again.

Thanks in advance ...

The clip/pop in, they should stay in on their own, but the do have a habit of falling out

I large screwdriver and gently prise each side until you can pull it free

I just used my rubber mallet, gently, to tap the one I bought in!

They do just pop out and pop in, best to get a few, just in case!

The clips can tend to get "tired". I cut pieces of rubber to fit in the spaces behind the clips and hold them in position.

When I bought the current 75 two were missing so I replaced all and used some silicon sealer to assist fixing so I don't need to keep replacing.

Just a dab/blob may do the trick from a security aspect (and the cost of replacing wayward pads) but the jack point needs to breath/drain otherwise expect the cills to rot - and that costs a great deal more than a few quid for replacement pads now and again.
