machine polisher
Well I have bought one of these having seen what a difference it made to a mates car
DAS-6 PRO Polisher Sonus SFX-1 Restore Polish Sonus SFX-2 Enhance Polish Sonus SFX-3 Final Finish Polish Sonus SFX-4 Paint Sealant Sonus SFX-1 .5.5" Restore Pad Sonus SFX-2 5.5" Enhance Pad Sonus SFX-3 5.5" Finishing Pad Sonus SFX-4 5.5" Final Finish Pad and some 4inch pads for those hard to get to areas Hoping I can get some great results with a little patience -SWMBO may not be so happy when she notices the dent in the current account lol. If anyone has any top tips about using these bits of kit feel free to pass them on |

The likelihood of you needing to use the restore part is minimal! Make sure the car is decontaminated totally before you start with the polisher, washed, rinsed, clayed, rinsed, fallout remover, rinse then dry! Spray a very fine mist on the polishing pad before applying the product to the pad! Read the instructions for the polishes! Probably need speed 5, with light even pressure, but double check
will need a few passes of each, make sure the handle is bolted up properly with the 2 allen key bolts or it will vibrate and tear the pads! Oh and keep a plus mf cloth in ypur pocket to buff as you go Will take a few hours and your hands will feel all funny after but it is worth it! |

Impressive Jordan! Good advice.
Try to polish no bigger area than roughly 40cm by 40cm, and work in lines. First go from top left to top right. Then go down half the width of the pad and go from right to left, then down again. When you are all the way down, work vertical from top to bottom (or bottom to top, depending how you finish ). And again, work in lines, moving half the width of the pad each time. After you've done this, you should notice that the polish is becoming more dry, and you hardly see any polish anymore. (if you can still clearly see it, you've used to much). Spray the area with something like Carpro Reload or 50% IPA, to check the area. If you're having trouble spotting the swirls, use a bright light under different angles.

Ooh, new infor for polisher movement, may be where I lose time and have to work harder, doing too much at once! I am getting some microfibre pads to work on my friends BMW, so will be using them on the zt too, but will be using the pad before finishing with 205 as it is meant to work wonders, then 105 on parts of the roof and bonbet that evidently need rectifying!
