you can try freeze.com but go for the animated wallpaper and not the screensavers. There is a great snowy cottage which sits on your desktop and snows, with robins and rabbits appearing now and again.

Make sure you have your wits about you when downlaoding as it does take you to other screens that want to download other stuff but you have the option to decline or uncheck the boxes leaving you with the animated wallpaper only. I used it last year without problems, and have just dowlnloaded it again for use this year.

If you go for the screensaver it only stays on a few minutes and goes off so must be a demo version but animated wallpaper is ok - so go for that !

There are other things like Xmas tree and fire but cottage is the best imo

I use my PC to help find a cure for cancer and other illnesses that blight the human race. The software runs all the time, or as a screensaver.

Once it's running, there nothing to do, except knowing that you are playing a small part in helping to (hopefully) find a cure.

This is what it looks like when it's opened up, otherwise it just sits in the systray, chugging away, downloading work units, crunching the data & sending them back again.

A worth while cause tatts,

I used to run SETI "Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence." and was part of the ocUK SETI team for a few years
