easiest way is to copy paste them to an external drive or usb memory stick, then paste them to your new laptop...

As Klarzy has suggested, use a USB memory stick, or an external portable hard drive if you have one.

If your laptops have a CD/DVD disc drive, burn them to disc and transfer them that way.

Or, you can setup a home network so both laptops can see each other over the network, move media that way across your home network.

You can even upload your photos to one of the free Cloud Storage sites, then download them to your new laptop.

Now that's what I call a comprehensive response!

Floppy disks are out of the question then?

Where did you buy a new laptop with a floppy disk?
thought those had been obsolete for years, hope they sold it as old stock!

Oh no brand new, so new that there is nothing else like it on the market.
286 processor, 256KB of RAM and an 85MB HDD, not forgetting the FDD of course. Although the disk drive is a plug in one presumably as there wasn't enough room in the case to fit a 5.25" drive

Runs MSDOS 3.1 a treat it does!

Ah the old days, back then I bought a Sharp MZ710 with tape drive (cassette) I wanted a faster drive than that and paid £650.00 for a 5.25" FDD, huge it was, circa 14" long x 8" wide and 4" deep, it improved the performance no end.

Later bought an IBM XT clone wiith 20Mb HDD / 1.4 FDD and Dos 6.1 but no other software, ran it with Smart DB, Word Processor and spreadsheet programs for several years until eventually a 386 came my way at much less than either of the previous 2 machines.

I did ours through the cloud but we also use one of THESE for our kids films. You can transfer all of your files to the hard drive, then just plug it into the new laptop and copy them across
