Engine wont turn over
Hi,
I have a 2002 Rover 75 CE auto (petrol) parked in my driveway. I last drove it on Sat night. I have got into it today and all appears fine until I turn the key. All the usual lights and sounds are ok, but the engine just will not turn. I believe power is getting to the solenoid because I can hear sounds from the engine. The battery appears to be fine as the radio and central locking work OK. Any advice would be grateful. Thanks Last edited by canan; 24th May 2016 at 13:05.. |

By the way, if this is the first time this has happened, you didn't need to buy a new battery; just put the original one on charge. If you are using your car infrequently, it's only a matter of time before your replacement battery suffers the same fate, so you might like to consider buying a maintenance charger. Simon
