Default Front Calipers

My question is this, the front brake calipers are the same on a 190 and a 260 but are they fitted on oppersite sides of the disc, i.e the 190 at the front of the disc and the 260 at the back?

Basically trying to find out if a R/H on a 190 would be a L/H on a 260?

Rimmers list
R/H 190 SEG 000040
L/H 190 SEG 000050

R/H 260 SEG 000040
L/H 260 SEG 000050

so left is left and right is right

Edit: Just to save people time, it transpires later on in this thread that the above is incorrect and the EPC parts listing is incorrect.

Sorry Tim are you saying what is RH on a 260 is LH on a 190?

If so then the EPC is wrong?

Just had a look at my 190 and 260...the epc is correct. The caliper simply either sits 'behind' the wheel centre or 'in front' of it.

Hi Zeb,

Would that not put the brake hose in the wrong position?

That would put the banjo bolt and bleed nipple in the wrong position if it was the same part.

LH on the 260 = RH on the 190 and vice versa
