I could be wrong but I think you have to pay subs and be a full member.

Ken is right, you have to be a subscribed member (only a tenner) to post in any of the for sale sections.

From what I understand the opening poster was a previously banned member under a alias and was removed

Well if that is the case then I think we need a better explanation than "the OP has left the building".
We have a completely different demographic regarding the membership on here now, and threads like this don't help at all.

To be honest running a forum isn't easy. If this poster is an alias then the moderators are well within there rights to remove, As the poster was obviously removed before for infringement of site rules.

OK, I now understand that you have a problem with this guy.
But if you are going to chop a thread, then a caustic comment is not good enough.
I am not a newbie on here, but I just thought "what the abcd is this all about?.

Point taken onboard, in hindsight perhaps a redirect left to the other thread would have clarified the matter, just didn't want to repeat myself all over the forum.

EDIT: now added Link to the closing post.

Sorry Paul, but as I said somewhere else tonight, the demographic covering our membership is shifting heavily to the "young", and they perhaps are more inclined to question.
Regards
Mick

How do you know that for sure, Froggy.

I see a lot of our more 'Mature Members' are still aboard, I am one for a start, and I question that the more 'Mature' of us are any less likely to 'Question' some of the younger, less experienced 'Whipper Snappers' on here.

But then we all had to start somewhere
