Sounds about right, I expect some of the AAC will end up at Yeovilton with the Sea King, Lynx & Sea Harrier going or gone.

Been on the cards for a while now. Would the AAC need to go to Yeovilton with Middle Wallop not that far away?

The cold war ended 20 years ago so It had to come to an end at some point, I spent 3 years in Germany got some real good memories.

On day one of the Regiments Chieftain tanks had runaway engine (blower seal goes and injects oil into pack) and went out of the camp across the main road to end up in the gardens of the houses opposite. |

Just out of curiosity and not meant to sound disrespectful in any way, but why are British troops in Germany?

Bit of a hang over from WW2 and the Cold War from what I understand.
I had a school friend whose Dad was stationed in Waldniel (sp?), I got to visit him but the place was barely marked or signposted anywhere, it was like it's existence was secret. |

Try to keep up Phil, the war with Germany is over now and the Iron Curtain fell about a quarter of a century ago.
