I can't help you with fitting personally, but you will find that places quote prices like this purely because they don't want to do the job....
It might find it easier if you shop around for speakers, and then mention fitting......

Good luck.

Changing the speakers in the 75/ZT isnt an easy job. The door cards have to come off (and need refitting properly..) and the mounts are non standard, so not all 6.5inch speakers will fit. Even of they do the mounts arent very well designed and the best option is to remove them and fabricate your own. For £200 its actually not bad, if they were to do it properly..

Have to admit that with all the overheads that Businesses have in the UK, I wouldn't want to charge less than that either!

Just out of interest, what would you expect to pay an hour for a Profesional installation and still expect the Company to stay in Business?

When my son had his Rover 75 he had Sextons in Southampton ( http://www.sextons-southampton.co.uk/ ) supply & fit a Hertz Twin-Channel Amp, 2 Hertz Energy Component speakers in the Front Doors plus wire in his Sub-woofer to the Boot. They charged him £300.00 all-in!

And it sounded awesome! Shame he left it all, other than the Head-Unit & Sub-woofer, in the car when he sold it...!!!

well when i was down south a few months ago, i had my dads 75 to drive because my peugeot was sick, and down there i had a full speaker and sub installation with wiring and fitting for £320. this included 4 speakers with directional tweeters and a 12 inch 600 watt sub and amp. so i know it can be down and to be honest, the guy spent about 1 and a half hours doing the work. but i dont fancy driving to exeter to get this work done cause i wont be saving on fuel once i get there.

So removing four door cards (and then the speakers) and replacing them properly and wiring up a sub and amp, all in 90 minutes, he did very well!
