I managed to get to have a chat with the owner of this car.

He is British but lives most of his year in France. The car was originaly German registered, which is where he bought it. He has re-registered the car in France, hence the French plates. He apparently had difficulty getting the car registered in france as it had a UK instrument pannel so he had to buy a French pannel in order to get the car registered in France.

The car is a ZT-T despite the Crown alloys. These are there due to the car eating tyres and him getting fed up of paying out for the more expensive larger low profile tyre, so he decided to buy a set of Crowns as the tyres are cheaper.
