Default Key repair

Replaced the whole fob on oneof my keys no bother.

Decided to do the other key and........the black plastic end on the metal key snapped off.

Is it possible to buy the black plastic end piece? Is it even possible to get the plastic bit on??

Get a key from a scrapyard, you have to knock out the little roll pin, you can then pull the plastic bit off and refit it to your key blade.

Cool. Just after posting I noticed there was a gap on the metal peg that I thought I could pinch with pliers!

Cheers

Plenty of new key cases complete with the plastic block on the bay. Cheap too. I replaced both my key cases no bother.

There is also Auto locksmith based in Peterborough on Amazon who sells MGR style key fobs - you send key to him and you get it back in 24 hours fully repaired.
