Daughter lives just outside Stornoway, which is on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. She's just got her mobile working after the mast blew down last week. She's not expecting it to last the weekend, some viscious winds up there!

We must have been lucky in SE Scotland - it was windy but nothing drastic. Bloomin cold though! Oh, and wet.

All's nice and calm and dry now with just a light breeze so far.

We just had a bit of wind and some rain. I think the Pennines shield us from most of the bad stuff blowing in from the west.

That's why they put East Lancs where it is, to keep the rain off us in Yorkshire.

Unfortunately my Rover 75 cdt broke down in all that bad weather last night, and i got soaked through trying to sort it. (thread-EP code ) Wet feet, wet undies, had to empty stuff from my pockets into the car to keep them dry. And as stated it was extremely cold... Not a happy bunnie!!!

Fortunately I gave up in end, (but not untill i had been out in it for nearly 2 hours,) and got into the RAC mans nice warm cab I could not have been wetter had I gone for a swim!
