Local Meets
Last year at Cosford and this year at Gaydon Pete stated that the club were going to concentrate more on local meets, Its over a year now and the only local meets that have been happening are the ones arrange by members themselves as usual The club subscription has gone up by 70% so I would have expected a bit more from our masters if it is only covering the local meet with the club insurance

Christopher has been overseas working and only him and Pete can say what is happening
With the Club as it it is outside the Mods remit to answer this or make any decisions. Sorry you will have to wait till directors are available to comment. |

Good questions but lets be honest if we all didnt put that little bit into the club we would all have higher repairs and not many right first time fixes on our vehicles, I was a mg rover trained tech and I even learned a lot of stuff here, Think of the Jules resistor mod would anyone actually know about it ? VIS valves and the tester ? the endless banter the social threads? the great pictures available to view on the non car pictures thread ? it wouldnt be here, I when I first joined mulled for ages over joining and I shall be honest i thought that perhaps it was a bit "stuck up as a club" however the longer i was on it the more I enjoyed it, I needed a resistor for my mark 2 fan I received one from jules which was great service, so much so he was the influencing factor on me joining, Yes the things are not progressing as fast as some would like however i think the club is still growing and sometimes growing is painful and takes time, personally I just renewed my subscription and its still the best £10 I ever spent for the online friends, the good banter the excellent spread of knowledge available and of course the cars themselves which is the whole reason why we are here, The club has always said that they have a priority to keep as many cars on the road as possible and if my ten pounds keeps that alive that bit longer then personally I am happy.
