Default Value of your car to you

What sort of money would you need to part with your car, I am not talking about market value, but a personal value.

Now that's a difficult one Ed. mine is a launch model so I am well aware that in monetary terms it is a little above scrap value, the sum of his parts (yes his ) is somewhat more I suppose.

Value to me? Makes me smile. When I drive him, when I look back at him, when I have worked on him, when I have invented something better for him.

How do you put a value on that? Usually I have been bored with cars after 18 months of ownership, ( company ones as well as my own) but something about this relationship has kept me smiling for 5 years.
(Good god I sound a sado)....

Having owned the 1.8T for four years and having definitely had my monies worth out of it,I struggled to get a decent price for it,albeit with all the goodies removed.I put a lot of effort into the car and hope it finds a good home.

The trade in value I received for it reflected in the low asking price of the 190.

Good question, I wanted a Yellow tourer for a while and it looked like it would have to be an MG and even those are quite rare. I'm more a Rover fan so when my current car turned up I had to have it. Not sure I could ever get another? Not sure I could value it now? I also have a 'classic' mini cooper S That has had far far too much money spent on it over the years. Had it so long now it's part of the family and priceless to me

Agree with Dave. These cars are not worth much in terms of asking price now, only really the V8's that will fetch more than £5k, perhaps with the exception of the odd low mileage, high spec diesel.

This one is the same age, and similar spec to mine, although mine is a manual, with about 68k on the clock.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1307043463...84.m1423.l2648 Thought that was quite good money for the car in the present climate.

Would only sell if I really had to.

I would swap mine for a Yellow 190 SE or a Yellow 75 Saloon with Premium Bumper

Never likely to make back what I've put into mine but that's all part of the fun

Don't ever recall seeing one or if they were available in this colour..Poseidon with full black leather would or could be a safer choice.
