Default V6 Engine Mount

Just put the car in the man cave, (took the XKR out) and put the ZT-T in, as I am going to be doing some work on it, first job was to take undertray off, no problem, as I have stainless fastners, then to tackle first job, replace engine mount, took about 2 hours, as it is a pig of a job, no so much as undoing bolts, but getting them out, ended up haeing to undo top mount as well, to give me a bit of movement and then have to use jack to lift engine around 10mm just enought to give me access to remove bolt, and then managed to get new mount in, and bolts back in. Whilst underneath also gave subframe a rub down, applied some Krust treatment, and today I have undercoated the front end, looks much better than it was. Next Job will be to replace all the calipers and pads, Front off, but also need to change the ABS Sensor, and seems to be another job which will be a bit of a nightmare, as cannot undo the 8mm (9nm) bolt, but will eventually get it done, then a good clean and polish

Sounds like a good job well done!
Those engine mount bolts are a pain on the KV6-engined models - I'd changed a few on Diesels before I did my first on a V6.

What a surprise it was when I couldn't get the bolt out...!

Well that is the abs sensor done, had to use an irwin 8mm to get bolt off, easier than i thought, then tried to get sensor out, would'nt budge, so ended having to drill it out, took my time, put tape on drill to make sure I did'nt drill to far, then decided to run a wire brush down the slot to make sure it was clean, then put a bit of clear grease on sides of new sensor, and it went in very easy, then put a newish 8mm bolt on and torqued up to 9nm. Removed old front mudflaps, and put original plastic brackets back, with new screws, and cleaned the wheel arch liners. Spent most of today in the man cave.

I have also cleaned the underside, as best I can, and have decided to undercoat, (waxoil and Underseal) the whole underside, used two cans, (most of it ended up on me !!!) even after warming up in boiling water, and it looks much better than it was, last job over the next couple of days will be to fit 4 new callipers, and pads. Discs in good condtion, as I have cleaned them up.

Then give it a full detail, so hopefully it will eventually look better

That's pretty standard in my experience Stuart.
