They're everywhere around here too, in numbers that don't warrant the population of the small towns. The shops they buy & repurpose into barbers shops must cost them a fortune in re-fitting with top o the range salon gear & yeah every time I go past these places you rarely see anyone in them.

Just waiting my turn. Next door is a ladies hairdresser where Jessica is having a cut, blow dry and massage.

I had an email from Kenya Airways offering an upgrade from Economy to Business class. We have already paid £1600 each and a bit extra for more recline and more legroom.

We are going to pass on the upgrade. I guess some can afford it but being pensioner’s we have to live on less.

Things this year are more expensive….

Hope the haircuts for you both went well?

I don't blame you for not paying the extra for the upgrade. You never know, you may get bumped up anyhow on the day of the flight

Wasn't a bad race at all.. Nice to see some uncertainty at the front end for once.

Good morning Jeff, a lovely way for you to end the day with home cooking and home comforts, who needs to go abroad on holiday when you have everything there.

Hospital appointment at 09:00, a check up, catch you later.

Good morning Richard, after 30 years of window cleaning and driving coaches, have you ever considered taking an early retirement?

I got a great haircut from them & will be using them from now on.

My beards gone really long as I've not trimmed it in ages, so next time I'm there I'll get them to trim it properly & look like a hipster .

Just made two salmon & broccoli cheese quiche's, One was made with gluten-free ingredients & was a bit of a faff to make that pastry but they both turned out bootiful.

I'm watering all the plants in containers this afternoon as they need a good watering.

Good morning Ian, the garden and cuisine is looking good. It’s interesting to hear about your barbers and planned beard trim.

I go to barbers in a place called Little India as there isn’t any Polish or Turkish barbers around. The Indian barber is very friendly and he employs a local female hairdresser who has a room around the back for VIP customers looking for a cut with extra personal attention. I never go there as I prefer cheap and cheerful.

How is Noreen getting on?

Hopefully you will be having lovely weather this week.
