Im with Borg Warner as well. A popular bit of advice from driving Instructors to pupils back in the distant past was "never battle with a bus" Chris.S.

I just happen to have a different opinion on the subject. Perhaps I'm a little more forgiving but to me some of the replies support what is wrong with driving today.
Sorry, can you explain a little bit more ? You say have a different opinion to others. You think the OP's actions were right?
Do you think it was right for the OP to move into a space that as not safe?
Do you think it was right for to OP to give the finger to another driver?
Do you agree the OP only had the 3 choices they gave?

In the first post the OP says the lorry could have changed lane, it may be explained in another post but would you question the first post and ask, why did the OP not move to lane 2?

I am not saying the lorry driver was right in what they did but I am not commenting on the lorry driver, only the actions of a driver moving from the slip lane onto the main carriageway.

Sorry I can't explain it any simpler.

Let's just leave there shall we?

Probably best.

As an HGV (and Rover 75) driver myself, I'd say that your manoeuvre was ill-considered, but there is no excuse for the HGV driver to act in the intimidating and aggressive way that he did.
