One of the reasons I stopped going to the Acle Bridge Inn every time I was up there, was how the prices had gone through the roof.
It's the same everywhere.

The cost to run these establishments, utility prices, rates, wholesale food costs. They all have gone up exponentially and that cost has meant prices have risen to try and make a profit.

Sadly, that makes a regular meal out a much rarer occasion for most of us.
The knock on to that is these places lose trade and many establishments end up closing. Sad all round .

I feel that I will be using the Harbour Lights more for a nice cold beer on their lovely stepped terraces overlooking the marina basin, rather than having a full blown meal.

I will however, no doubt test it out and report back my findings

Morning all, It's an overcast morning but looks like we'll get some sunshine this afternoon.

Jeff, thank you for those strong points, I don’t disagree with anything you have said and look forward to reading your report. It’s all about the money. but this morning I have popped into the barber who is doing a pensioner special at £3 today

Just waiting my turn. Next door is a ladies hairdresser where Jessica is having a cut, blow dry and massage.

I had an email from Kenya Airways offering an upgrade from Economy to Business class. We have already paid £1600 each and a bit extra for more recline and more legroom.

We are going to pass on the upgrade. I guess some can afford it but being pensioner’s we have to live on less.

Things this year are more expensive….
