![]() Hey Guys,
I started the car was about to move away whe bang front Tyre burst, closer inspection showed the coil had come off (doesnt appear broken) its strut. Could of been a lot worse, as anyone seen this before?? I guess a full replacement is in order? TIA Tony |

![]() I replaced a snapped front o/s right coil spring.
A very short (a couple or few inches) part of the bottom of the spring had snapped off. And that missing section had been lost. The spring came off the strut and the sharp jagged snapped end went into the tyre while parked on my driveway. So may be worth looking very carefully at the bottom end of the spring to see if it is a sharp pointed end of a snapped spring? Last edited by Ed3; 15th June 2024 at 14:39.. |

In the First photo is that not part of the spring resting on the lower arm, once you have got some new springs and note i say springs change them in pairs otherwise you may have the same trouble the other side, look to purchase the spring protectors. https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...9&postcount=25
