Hi Arctic,

Yes ideally I would do the proper intake manifold clean, which I'd very much like to do in future. It's one of those jobs I wouldn't fancy doing myself so I'd be up for your expertise! I did clean the MAP sensor as that was gunked up, but my egr and where it meets the intake manifold wasn't anywhere near as bad as some of your photos, thankfully. My flexi pipe is still useable, so I can always reverse what I've done later (now I know the knack) and put a gutted-out egr back on, especially if MOT becomes stricter. As it stands I now know nothing is going to "let-go" and I'm not building up more gunk now. Everything is hidden by the engine cover anyway, too. I really admire your work and in an ideal world I'll be doing everything the best way, but for now I'm on my own. I'm hoping to get a remap with Russ soon though, which will also include a health-check.
