My parents drive a Focus, with Goodyears on it, and you'd have to wear ear defenders...
I own a classic Mini.
I've replaced every rubber mounting, joint, bush, you name it.
The noise transfer into the car is absolutely unbearable.

Now my elderly mother also has a classic Mini, but in her eyes, it's not classic, it's her car! Now talk about chalk and cheese. Even at 70 mph you can hold a conversation with the person next to you. In mine above 40 mph forget it!
My radio in the Mini is simply to listen to in traffic jams nothing more. Yo really cant hear it about 30 mph.
It has a fairly standard exhaust fitted as well.
What the problem is I dont think I'll ever find it.

Back to my ZT. It's not as quiet as I thought it'd be. But it's the facelift version and I've been told the sound proofing isnt as good as the MKI .
