Logically, it's getting inside via the dodgy foam gasket. The probable reason why the 'white' lens fogs and the red one doesn't is their slightly different interior temperatures. This is due to the rate of heat transfer through the light/colourless plastic compared with the dark plastic. Maybe time get some new seals?
