I have tried using glue remover, paint stripper, sealant remover and a hot iron, but I'm still left with a residue. I haven't tried WD40 as I thought the same about smell, plus not sure how much the headrest will absorb the oil.

Hi TC, Yes its an MG iron on badge which I glued on a few years ago, I thought it look good at the time. I have now begun to dislike the look for some reason, so thought I would removed them.
The glue I used was
EVO STIK Impact Adhesive, bit too strong me thinks.
I may have to live with them I guest, and glue them back on.
