Between 10am and 4pm
Located on the outskirts of the market town of Malton in North Yorkshire,
Eden Camp is a multi-award winning Modern History Theme Museum
housed within the grounds of an original World War Two prisoner of war camp.
It was developed into a museum by a local businessman to stand as a tribute
to all people, civilian and military, who endured hardship throughout World War Two.
Today, Eden Camp has people visiting from around the world
to see the story of World War Two re-created using sights, sounds, smells
and moving figures to create a unique atmosphere that makes it feel
like you travelled back in time to wartime Britain.
From 1990 to 1995 a series of 6 huts were opened to create a “museum within a museum.”
These huts are each dedicated to tell the political and military events
of World War Two from around the world, for each year of the war.
WinStan’s Bunker Cafe and Officers’ Mess offer a range of hot meals and snacks,
as well as a range of desserts and hot and cold drinks. In addition to the café,
the museum have provided both indoor and outdoor eating areas
for members wishing to bring their own packed lunches.
During 1992 a prefab was constructed, along with a “Dig for Victory”
garden to show how post-war housing was developed.
Alongside the prefab a memorial garden can now also be found.
Once again, we will be presenting the annual Gryphon Award
to the best car at the show as voted by you the members on the day
We will have items from the club shop available including
Club Key rings and new Grille Badges,
as well as the raffle organised in time honoured fashion.
The special club rate to enter the venue is £5.00 for a single driver,
or £7.00 if carrying passengers
