This is a great idea to help fellow members but may I sound a cautionary note . . .

My V6 looked superb from the top and carried a recent 100% clear MOT but on getting on a ramp it was obvious it should never have passed. I've just paid the bill for a smidgeon under £1K to make it safe and roadworthy. I've run a Tourer for the past 5 years so know my way reasonably around the model but unless I could see it on a ramp I would not want to give any opinion as to its merit.

Sorry about that. (Next time it's going to be an RAC inspection.)
