Some interesting “stuff” being reported (from Australia initially it seems) regarding how China first botched dealing with the Outbreak.

Doctors were threatened with arrest for communicating their concerns amongst colleagues and forced to sign agreements that they would stop “spreading discontent”.

External health agencies soon realised that China was ignoring the issue at best and trying to suppress the reality at worst.

So why then did the WHO give China a huge pat on the back for supposedly dealing well with the Outbreak?

Australian researchers have pointed the Finger at the current head of the WHO who is Ethiopian and whose country, Ethiopia, owes China $billions that it cannot repay.

China has built huge a huge infrastructure network within Ethiopia - roads and railways and some say that China effectively “owns” Ethiopia. Certainly the gushing praise Ghebreyesus (WHO Director General) gave to China about how well it dealt with the outbreak is very much at odds with the information now coming out from other Health Organisations.

It is said that China uses this “economic takeover” technique in many Third World Countries and turns the screws to get what it wants.
