Today I went to the traders place to collect the manual and some other books. I was hoping for rather more service and other history than there was, but my main interest was if there was a radio code. Initial inspection of the books was negative, but a closer inspection revealed a code, and, bingo, it worked. So does the CD changer in the glovebox, but I have absolutely no idea how that confounded Harman Kardon contraption in the boot is supposed to function, that's if it does.

The cars books are somewhat different from the later models. The handbook and service portfolios are separate documents, and are in portrait format. Unfortunately someone has stuck a bit of paper over part of the service book cover. Pity. Unfortunately there was no nice handbook wallet either., though also included was a Rover 25 owners manual in one of them horrible, cheap and tacky semi transparent plastic pouches.
