Who said no? Sean? It has most definitely been done, as I am sure Sean himself has sold a unit on here with a "custom" user interface etc.
Just had a look and yes, although it was a Navall Star. LINKY
Also most rooting software to date, tests compatibility, before applying the necessary software, thus reducing the risk. Someone must have done it.
