There is only one way to solder properly - the old fashioned way.

Clean then twist the wires together, cover in flux paste, heat the wires and apply the solder. Relax whilst inhaling the flux fumes. Ensure that the solder has flowed properly which it always will if the temperature is correct.
You forgot the heatshrink to protect the fantastic soldering job.
