I would just like to throw a spanner in the works and vote for Star Spokes!
They are a 17 inch but with a "medium profile" 215 50 17W.
So you get the best of several worlds:

The looks!
Medium comfort
Medium handling
Medium priced tyres
Very easy to clean

So in essence, a compromise between the 15" 16 and 18 wheel choices.
There is no accounting for taste as they say

IMHO

My 1st choice then is the 17" Star
2nd choice are the Serpents

As fitted to the Contemporary
