Just had mine recharged at ATS with a Groupon voucher, mine lasts about 9 months before becoming ineffective there was 150g of gas in the system new it's about 500g I just get it filled every year
But talking to the chap who did it and he says the machine does a vaccum test and it's possible some pin holes are pulled closed so no leaks but the system when under pressure can force pin holes open , he didn't say why the machine didn't do a pressure test , but I think some air con specialists do?
