Usually, if you get a whirring noise when you depress the clutch pedal it is the clutch release bearing.
Had that on a 214, and it failed about two weeks later, but some can last for ages when noisy.
Unfortunately, as the bearing is part of the concentric slave cylinder, it will need a new complete unit if and when it packs up.
