Not present on my Contemporary 2004 saloon but a broken 'cable' (think it's rubber/plastic sleeved cycle brake cable gauge steel wire) is definitely on my Contemporary 2004 Tourer

Update, should have checked before posting earlier but the restraining lead on my Tourer (which appears to be original because it's looking well aged/cracked) is a rubber like material and no metal wire involved.
