Finally got the carpeting out and found this:-

That rubber bung thing should surely be holding the heating duct down?

This is the drivers side so from the rusting and damage I can only assume that this has bee soaking wet for a loooooooooooooooooooooong time.

The passenger side:-

Am going to have to clean up those connections and earthing points. Oh yes what is that brown taped up wire?

Any one know?

Again bung is not holding the ducting down.

The carpets under foam insulation is well damaged and split:-

Patches missing yet not in the car which make me further beleive this has been played with before by someone

.

Well there you go I have my work cut out here in treating and dealing with the rust and corrosion.
