Hi, our electric has just come on after being off for about 10 hours. I was up early and put on our wood burner as our c/h doesn’t work without electric. I then went and brought into the kitchen our old double camping stove. We made our breakfast and had hot drinks. It made me think that we could survive a longer period without electric, I also have a portable lpg heater. For me these backup options are important, I remember in our French house we were once without electric for over a week!
