No, as I figured it would give problems if and when it has to come apart. I just applied a thin strip of duct tape around the joint to stop any incidental ingress.
The white immobiliser block when taken apart showed rusty areas on the relay and contact surfaces so these got a good clean up with a fibre pencil and a shot of Gt85 before rebuilding. The plug contact area on this item showed some calcium deposits and green staining due to the water getting into the plug area.
Why did they make the diesel ecu’s unsealed anyway, seems to be asking for trouble.
