I agree I think Petrol and Diesel powered vehicles will be here for a long time yet if the general public and legislation allows. I know both my sons who are in there 20's are both petrol heads, one has access to an electric car ( pool car at work) and has no desire to own one.
I think the government might have to push there date back unless something changes soon with the infrastructure for electric cars, I have heard so many stories of people struggling to get there cars charged or topped up and with the sales increasing year on year there will need to be a charge point on almost every street corner or they will be unusable unless they are relying on most owners to have home chargers. That brings in another problem as to if the National Grid can cope with millions of cars and vans being plugged in at 6pm every night through the week.
