Please be aware that not all bootlids have the holes for the locating studs; mine hasn't. I found this out after the repairs following my rear-end shunt in June. Repairers left off the badge, probably because there were no locating holes to remind them something should be there.
Later 75s don't have a badge in this position, so an easy mistake to make. They may, in fact have used a later bootlid in place of the damaged original rather than repaired it. When the new badge arrived at the repairers, it had locating lugs which they had to grind off !!
