I know we all like to know the accurate colour of our cars but there are so many variations to paint shades that even if you buy the correct colour touch up it stands a chance of being wrong, the only way to get an accurate match for a touch up is for a specialist paint blender to look at your car and match manually to a mixed palette.
I had a new VW van not long back and reversed it into a post I brought the colour match to the vin plate, a simple white colour or so I thought ... the same colour had a different shade depending on a lot of factors apparently, luckily there is a very good paint specialist about a mile from me and they matched it by blending paint and testing it to the van - perfect match in the end and to this day I still don't know what colour it was
Nothing wrong with that at all as long as it matches ok, my spoiler was painted from a swab match book, near as makes no difference
