That was my shortlist from a few months back, I ended up pushing the boat out on a Canon 30D. Now I am after the 70-200mm f2.8 Lseries Lens, an expensive bug seems to have bitten me.
If you go down the Canon route I have a 55-200mm lens I bought 2 months ago that is going up for sale at a very good price over the next week or so.
