Probably the best one step product you could use for a real good shine on your colour is Poorboy's White Diamond. It's a glaze, which basically helps fill in any wee swirls. It adds high gloss to silvers/white/light blues etc.

It's very very easy used, however must be topped with some form of wax/sealant. As said previous, the shine comes with prep. A wax, for the most part, only seals in what you already have, and although will add some gloss, it's mainly from any previous polishing.

Compounding/polishing will be better, but this is a quick solution.
